Witness Summary:

She was going to take her dog out, and she saw a guy lying on the ground moaning when she opened the door. The kid was lying on the ground. She says she saw a gentleman she’s seen before. She says she thought it was an elderly neighbor having a heart attack or something. The guy who lived there (where the body was) said he was going to call 911. She said she pulled her dog back in and put the house alarm on after hearing that her neighbor was going to call 911. She went upstairs, opened a window, she said she hear what sounded like a “pop” sound–a gunshot. She says she doesn’t remember exactly when in the sequence of events the pop sound occurred.

This witness also has a very poor recollection of the 911 call and the sequence of events surrounding the gunshot. The period of time from her recreation of her movements was about 40 seconds from the time John said he was calling 911 until the gunshot.

This witness, like almost everyone else that night, admits she couldn’t see well because it was dark and rainy out. She was also 70 feet from the “body” she saw and she admits she couldn’t see the race or clothing of the person on the ground. The primary witness to the event, John, was much closer and could make out that there were two people struggling on the ground. Witness #19 also had to contend with her barking dog who wanted to go outside and she reacted with fear when she heard that John was going to call 911. All of these issues, the darkness, the rain, the distance, the barking dog, and her desire to get away from the situation, make her an unreliable witness. She admits she couldn’t see what was going on clearly at that distance due to the darkness and the rain. She easily could have missed the second person struggling on the ground. She also didn’t say she saw Zimmerman standing around or crouching or sitting on top of Trayvon, though we know he had to be there somewhere when she came out. Don’t put too much weight on this woman’s testimony.

If I am understanding her correctly is she saying TM was on the ground already before the shot and during the time John came out and said he was calling 911. Yelling help help moaning and groaning.

Why does he have to stop the tape and then restart it during the same interview?

    According to the summary
    1.  Trayvon was on the ground
    2.  Zimmerman was standing near him
    3.  Zimmerman said he was calling 911
    4.  Witness went inside
    5.  Witness heard the shot

Did Zimmerman shoot him from a standing position?  That might be why charge is 2nd degree murder.

This witness did not say “Zimmerman said he was calling the police” This witness said that her NEIGHBOR said he was calling the police.

    • SpenderH

The witness never said she saw another man. She saw the “body” on the ground (which I suspect was two bodies struggling) and she saw the neighbor, John, who came out and said he was calling 911. She didn’t claim that Zimmerman or anybody else was out there that night.

I might be reaching but what I got from the first interview with Serino is that it may have been Trayvon who was being smothered. She was sure she saw a kid on the bottom not a lard-butt man (which Zimmerman was that night).

During one of George’s interviews he almost slipped up and said that he had his hand on Trayvon, caught himself and then said it was him that was being smothered.  If the events happened the way George said with being punched to the point of a broken nose, I would expect immediate bleeding gushing from his nose.  If Trayvon were smothering him I would imagine a lot of blood on his hands which I am sure would have been made very public.  The only thing that I’ve heard about Trayvon’s hands is the small cut on one of his knuckles.

I remember that, “I put my hand on his…. he put his hand on my mouth”! One of many of GZ’s freudian slips, as if GZ says Trayvon did or said what in fact he himself did or said.

Doesn’t she contradict what John says that TM was on top. She says that the kid was laying down on the ground moaning and groaning saying help me help me, she hears him say I’m calling 911 and then the shot.

that third track does not belong to witness 19. A 3/10/12 interview with Serino and 911 call is on the discovery list. Track three belongs to witness three. please correct the voices are not even the same.

Thanks!  I just corrected that.  Please let us know if there are any other issues with the files.

Also, please consider donating via the link on the pages.  We’re trying to ensure that people can have access to all of the files on an ongoing basis.  We plan to do the same with the second batch of discovery as well.  Even a donation of $1 or a few dollars is very helpful!
